Goodbye to an Italian show star

Sorry to hear of the death of Ch Doublereddragon at Woodhenge at the age of 14.

He was bred in Italy by Chiara Ceredi and came to England as a youngster where he was co-owned by Barry and Sue Coulson with his breeder.

He was by British-bred Fin/Sw Ch Cinonnie Strikes The Gold ex Scarletprimrose, and descended from previous influential dogs from Woodhenge, Ch/Am Ch Ninacorte Star Caster at W and Ch W Star Voyager on both sides and Ch/Can/Ir Ch Stonecroft’s Second Stage on his dam’s side.

He enjoyed a successful career with a couple of group wins, BIS at the League show and top Pem of his year.

His most significant progeny in the UK was Mystic Dreamer at Woodhenge who is the dam of another top Pem Ch W Star Maiden, dam in turn of Ch W Star Xtravaganza, and is also behind others from this line currently winning.

Our sympathy to his owners and also to all others who have lost a favourite Pembroke in recent weeks.

I see that at one of Scandinavia’s major shows, the Helsinki Winner Show, a Pembroke won the group under Colm Hastings. This was Russian-bred Aethwy Stand By Me (Ch Brynlea Into The Forest ex Aethwy Ever Dream), owned by Sergey Boitsov.
